Escrow Guide
How Bilu Store holds funds safely until both parties confirm.
Frequently asked questions
Escrow means a neutral party holds the buyer's money until the transaction is complete. On Bilu Store, we hold the payment after the buyer transfers it to us, then release it to the seller only after the buyer confirms they received the item. This protects both sides.
When you pay and the seller prepares the item, we send you a one-time confirmation code. Hand this code to the seller ONLY when you have the item in your hands and you're happy with it. The seller enters the code to release payment. Never give the code before receiving the item.
Typically: payment verification by our team takes up to 2 hours. Code delivery is instant. The deal completes the moment you hand over the code. After that, the seller receives funds within 24 hours.
After you mark 'Ready to Buy', the seller has 12 hours to confirm. If they don't respond, the deal is automatically cancelled and you are not charged.
Once the code is entered, the deal is marked complete and payment releases. This is why you must inspect the item BEFORE handing over the code. If there's a problem, contact support immediately — we review disputes but cannot guarantee reversal after code entry.
